SEAFOOD EXPO GLOBAL BARCELONA 2025

Frigoríficos Iberport is excited to announce our participation in the Seafood Expo Global 2025, which will be held from May 6 to 8 at the Fira de Barcelona, at the Gran Via venue.

We will be as co-exhibitors of the Xunta de Galicia at stand 4F401, and it will be an excellent opportunity to show our wide range of products, frozen and processed fish always selected under rigorous quality standards, which have consolidated us as a reference in the sector. Our participation in the event is a reflection of our commitment to continued growth and expansion into new markets.

Seafood Expo Global is one of the most important international events in the seafood sector, and the last edition in Barcelona brought together more than 35,000 industry professionals, setting a record in the history of the event. In addition, 2,244 exhibiting companies from 87 countries were registered. For all these reasons, it provides us with an excellent platform to interact with customers and suppliers from all over the world, allowing us to share knowledge and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Foxega plans

Frigoríficos Iberport S.L. is in constant growth with an international presence of its brand and business activity.

In order to succeed in this aim, we collaborate in projects such as those provided by the Foexga Plans, together with IGAPE, co-financed with funds from the European Union.

Projects with the end goal of of consolidating the presence of our brand, as a well-recognized and prestigious exporting company on the international markets.

On 29th September the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has communicated the list of authorised establishments and species authorised for export to China, and FRIGORIFICOS IBERPORT SL is one of the authorised companies

Conxemar 2023

Frigoríficos Iberport has been again part of the biggest meeting of our sector, the 24th edition of the international fair of frozen seafood products (Conxemar), organized in Vigo last October.

As every year, we have made the most of this opportunity, both to meet with our customers and to present our product to new customers.

Finally, we would like to thank our team for their attitude and professionalism during the fair and in all the meetings organised.

Seafood Expo Global Barcelona

From 25 to 27 April, the Seafood Expo Global will be held at Fira Barcelona, Gran Via Barcelona, presenting the latest news from Spanish and international companies related to the fishing, agriculture, seafood, beverages, livestock, food and beverage, and food and beverage sectors.

It is an event that brings together sector professionals from more than 150 countries. It is considered the largest fish and seafood event in the world and is organised to help producers and suppliers, like us, to expand their business internationally.

It is a meeting point for thousands of professionals in the sector. The last edition brought together more than 29,000 professionals from the sector and this year it is expected to exceed this figure. New exhibiting countries that were not present in 2022 include Austria, Barbados, Côte d’Ivoire, Cyprus, Gambia, Moldova, New Caledonia, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia and the Seychelles. In addition, 2023 will also welcome more than 600 new exhibiting companies.

Seafood Expo North America Boston

From 12 to 14 March, Seafood Expo North America will take place in Boston, the most important trade fair for our sector in North America.

Its popularity attracts participants from more than 50 countries, making it an excellent place to connect with customers, discover and evaluate new products, meet new buyers, evaluate trends, keep abreast of the latest technology and get expert advice on market trends, prices and supplies.

This year, we are fortunate to attend as co-exhibitors of the Xunta de Galicia along with 13 other companies, at Stand No. 2533, we encourage you to attend this great meeting of the sector, we will be waiting for you!

Conxemar 2022

Frigoríficos Iberport has taken part again in the Conxemar fair, organized in Vigo last October, and known as one of the most important fairs of our sector.

This year, we have adapted our stand to offer both customers and attendees a showcooking to taste our products with different combinations of flavors and presentations, which for those of you who have not been able to attend, we confess that they were really good!

As every year, we have made the most of this opportunity to create new business relationships, as well as to build loyalty and chat with those who were able to attend the fair.

Finally, we would like to thank our team for the great attitude and treatment they have had during the fair, demonstrating their professionalism once again, our cook who has given us the opportunity to offer our products for tasting, the Conxemar team and the attendees who have been able to visit us.

Iberport joins green energy

In the infinity of values that we have in Iberport, one of the most important is the commitment with the environment, which makes us to be in a continuous search of improvements towards a more sustainable environment.

On this occasion, we have taken the step hand in hand with Integria, a company dedicated to solar self-consumption, and which has helped us to Frigoríficos Iberport reduce up to 55.232 kg/year of CO2 emissions!

We have installed a self-consumption photovoltaic plant, reducing the carbon footprint that we generated. Almost every daily activity involves the use of polluting energies, creating a great impact on the environment.

We have always been taught that plants absorb CO2 and purify our air, a single tree can absorb an average of 10kg of CO2, but this is insufficient when the quantities are so high. But did you know that one domestic photovoltaic system (3kWp) is equivalent to planting 190 trees? This represents a saving of 38 tonnes of CO2 in 20 years.

In addition, the installation of a photovoltaic system has further benefits for the environment:

• Chemical – as it produces no waste, emissions or residues.
• Thermal – as temperatures do not exceed 60°.
• Acoustic – thanks to the total absence of noise.

Although it is not an inexhaustible measure, its useful life is around 25-30 years, and once it ends, the cycle continues, as up to 98% of its components are recyclable.

This is just one more step in our aim for continuous improvement.

Tutto food 2021

Thanks to the commitment of the Xunta de Galicia for the external promotion of the products of the sea, 10 companies, among them Frigoríficos Iberport, we have attended the fair TuttoFood, in Italy, as co-exhibitors.

With more than 150,000 visitors and 2,700 companies, the campaign of the Xunta de Galicia, ‘GALICIA SABE AMAR’ to boost the consumption of sea products, had its place in the area of TuttoSeafood, giving us the opportunity to defend the quality of our products together.

The TUTTO FOOD fair, held last October in Milan (Italy), is one of the most important international B2B fairs in the food industry, so attending this fair has been an enriching experience for us.

In addition, we have been able to make ourselves known live with a closer treatment, and holding various meetings in which our team spoke with all stakeholders directly.

Our attendance at the fair was also possible thanks to the ICEX NEXT Business Internalization Program, which in collaboration with EU FEDER funds, seeks to introduce and consolidate the export culture in Spanish SMEs.

In addition to the ICEX NEXT program, which has subsidized a percentage of the expenses incurred from our attendance and attendance at this fair, also the CÁMARA DE COMERCIO DE PONTEVEDRA, VIGO Y VILAGARCÍA DE AROUSA has given us financial aid to cover the costs of our staff travelling to the fair.

We hope to attend more fairs in the sector in person, to grow both in the commercial field and in the staff, combining the quality of our products with optimal attention, offering a close and personalized service to all our customers.
